He holds a special place for sharing the joy of yoga with at-risk and under-served populations like cancer survivors and seniors. He has traveled from the Himalayas (India, Nepal, Tibet) to Kerala (southern most part of India) learning a variety of yoga and nature cure practices. He has served on the faculty of several Yoga Teacher Training programs, including an Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program, covering 15 yoga studios from the greater Boston to Cape Cod area.

About Deborah Callahan: Yoga has always been a part of me. I was introduced to it by my family at an early age and it has influenced and inspired me greatly. Ailments I have experienced throughout the course of my life have countless times been made so much more manageable by yoga. Through these experiences I have gained an immense love and appreciation for life and a massive drive to ease any pains or sorrows in any ways that I am able. I graduated from School Yoga Institute in June of 2009. I practice Sadhana Yoga, which consists of ancient traditions from India and South America including Shamanic healing, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Reiki and Kundalini yoga.

About Jennie Gryczka: Jennie Gryczka (Guru Sahai Kaur) teaches Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. She has been practicing yoga for 13 years and completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance training in 2002 and has recently completed Conscious Pregnancy teacher training. She brings her love of meditation, movement and interest in nutrition and healing to her practice and teachings. Ashtanga Yoga |

Vinyasa means breathing and movement system. For each movement, there is one breath. In this way all asanas are assigned a certain number of vinyasas. The purpose of vinyasa is for internal cleansing. The combination of the asanas with movement and breath make the blood circulate freely around all the joints. The heated blood also moves through all the internal organs removing impurities and disease. |

Hatha Flow a moderate paced yoga class focusing on asana and pranayama to strengthen the body and clear the mind. Postures will be held for varying amounts of time to deepen the experience. The class will end with a guided imagery relaxation.

About Lindsay: Lindsay Taflas is a 200 hr. certified yoga teacher through the School Yoga Institute. Lindsay began studying yoga in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2008 when she studied in Halkida Greece, with the Sunshine House Network, that she became truly passionate about yoga. Lindsay also studies movement across multiple disciplines: yoga, ballet, modern dance and improvisation. She is always searching, questioning and learning new ideas about movement and the relationship between movement and breath. Lindsay hopes that each student she works with will leave her class feeling that they made a new discovery, either about their practice, their movement, or about themselves.

Kirtan: Chanting & Singing |

Ravi offers a deeply meditative and devotional Kirtan. Kirtan is the practice of Bhakti yoga, otherwise known as the yoga of devotion. It is the spiritual practice of singing the Divine name in call and response.
About Ravi: A talented musician and harmonium player, Ravi regularly offers kirtan at venues across New England and beyond, as well as accompanying several other kirtan artists. He plays live music for yoga classes and yoga retreats, and for many fundraising and charity events. A serious student of yoga, Sanskrit mantra and Indian classical music, Ravi offers a traditional style Kirtan.
Ravi views it as his dharma or sacred path to bring the powerful practice and benefits of mantra to others. He opens to grace, and allows himself to be guided in the process of leading Kirtan. Whether playing solo or accompanied by other talented musicians, he connects to grace to uplift and bring people to deeper states of bliss and meditation.

Yoga as Mindfulness Movement |

We will use the various practices of hatha yoga--breathwork, posture, relaxation and meditation to immerse ourselves in the experience of mindfulness. Mindfulness has been defined as bringing one's full awareness to the present moment's experience without judgment; meeting whatever we discover with an attitude of welcome, allowing it be just as it already is, without adding to or diminishing any aspect of it. All levels of ability are welcome.
About Rebecca Marshall: Rebecca Marshall, M.Ed., holds a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling with a special interest in mindfulness-based interventions for working with mental health issues. She is also a Kripalu certified yoga instructor with 12 years teaching experience, and has been studying with various teachers in the Vipassana (Insight) meditation tradition since 2005. She currently teaches one public class per week at the Monadnock Mindfulness Practice Center, 103 Roxbury St. in Keene, on Fridays from 5:00-6:15pm.

About Cherryl Jensen: Cherryl has been teaching yoga for three years and is certified in Embodyoga at the 200-hour level and 500-hour level . Embodyoga is often called "yoga from the inside out" and emphasizes self-knowledge, self-acceptance and compassion. Cherryl also has certificates in teaching yoga to veterans with PTSD and trauma-sensitive yoga teaching. She is a writer and focuses on healing the body/mind through the powerful spiritual practices of writing and yoga.

The Last Breath |

An introduction for hospice workers, volunteers and lay people exploring the journey of the breath and dying, to ease transitions and suffering in this lifetime. About Liz Seaman: Liz Seaman is the owner of Cornerstone Yoga at 305 Park Ave., in Keene, N.H. She was originally certified to teach yoga through Kripalu in Lenox, Ma. in 2004, and continues her training through various workshops and classes. She teaches many different populations including high school sports teams, and addiction based groups. She also works with her husband, Dr. Brooks Seaman, as a massage therapist at Cornerstone Center for Wellness in Keene. She is a mom and proudly has 6 children ages 10-26 years old.

Refining poses is an interest of many yoga students. Both physical and energetic adjustments can enhance a yoga practice and help a student experience a pose in a new way. It can be the essence of increased awareness, new perception, and changed state. We will explore ways to adjust several poses in this workshop style class. Appropriate for yoga teachers and also students who are interested in learning how adjustments can influence their practice.
About Bryan Russell: Bryan has been teaching yoga classes in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire since 2005 and is also a facilitator for the Yoga Teacher Training Course in Keene and around the world offered through SchoolYoga Institute (www.schoolyogainstitute.com). About Aylene Wozmak: Aylene Wozmak has been practicing meditation for over 10 years and is currently the Chairperson for The Monadnock Mindfulness Practice Center in Keene NH. She went to India on a Buddhist Pilgrimmage and has done silent retreats to deepen her practice. She holds a degree in Nursing and has a certificate for the specialty of Hospice Nursing. She has been working for Hospice at HCS for nearly 20 years.
